4 Months... 1 Post...Go!

Ok so... It's been a while since I have posted anything to my blog, and I decided today that I really need to go back to posting. Lots of EXCITING things have happened in the last 4 months, which is actually what has kept me from posting. We'll just start at the beginning...

December - December was so busy! Busy at work, and busy because it was Christmas time! We had a great Christmas with our families :) But the best part came 5 days after Christmas! I found out that I was expecting!! It was the best and hardest day ever! I was SOOO excited, but I knew I couldn't tell anybody! It was the hardest secret I've ever had to keep! I wanted to wait and tell Wyatt on New Year's, but by the time I had kept the secret all day, I knew I couldn't keep it from him for ANOTHER day! SO when he got home from work, I showed him the pregnancy test :) He was so excited, and I was so relieved to finally get to tell him!

January - Whew! January was exhausting! Just a week or two after we found out the great news, those "wonderful" pregnancy hormones started kicking in! I didn't feel as though I could ever get enough rest! I would go to bed much earlier than normal, and then wake up later, and I still could hardly keep my head up at work! I felt ok, though, until week 6... I was sick all day, every day for almost 2 weeks, but then it just went away! Thank goodness, because I was beginning to wonder if I could make it through! I also had my first OB appointment at the end of January, and I was able to see our little tiny baby on a sonogram :) It was just amazing!

February - I still didn't have very much energy in February, although I was feeling better. That's about it for this month... just lots of sleeping :)

March - March started my second trimester, which has been much more enjoyable than the first :) My energy has returned, and I eat ALL the time! I am starting to show, which I am very excited about because it means the baby is growing! The only thing about getting bigger is that NONE of my clothes fit anymore! I just had my 16 week OB appointment yesterday, and everything seemed to be going good! The baby's heartbeat was 160 bpm which is about what it's been at each appointment. This month all I can think about is my 18 week sonogram where we will be able to find out the gender!! That is coming the first week of April! I can't wait! I don't have a preference, (just as long as it's healthy!) but I am ready to be able to name it and to know which side of the clothing store to go to :)

Ok, I think that has us all caught up for now! I will hopefully be able to go back to posting at least once a month now for the rest of my pregnancy! But I'm not going to promise anything once the baby is here ;)

November... already??

Ok, so my last post was the beginning of October, and now it's already November!! How time flies...
Anyways, First of all...
I love fall and I love to decorate for all of the holidays. I have a lot of fall decorations, so I like to keep them up until I'm ready to get my Christmas decoration out. However, I am really starting to get "Christmas Fever," and the more I think about it, I have decided that I really really need to start getting my Christmas stuff out. Especially the way time keeps flying by, if I don't start now, I will probably be getting my Christmas stuff out and then put back up in the same week... :( And if I can get it out now, I will have time to enjoy it :)
Next...
I found out last week about a little site called "Pinterest"... OMG... love it!! I have found so many great things on that site! I love crafts and DIY, so this has been the best way to keep up with everything I find online that I want to make or organize or eat or... anything! This is another reason I'm so ready for Christmas... sooo many Christmas craft ideas and recipes!
Which brings me to my last subject...
I have decided that I will only MAKE any Christmas decorations that I want to put in my house this year! I am so excited! I have learned that I am a little more creative than I ever gave myself credit, and I feel so much more proud of the things that I make than just what I find in the stores! And this DIY will probably roll over into some Christmas gifts this year as well! :)

It's October!

I can't believe it is already October! I love October! College football is in full swing.. I get to turn the air conditioning off and open the windows.. I get to pull out all of my fall decorations.. And I love decorating and carving pumkins! The only thing that I HATE about October is that all of the previews for the new scary movies comes out! I absolutely hate being scared, so I really try to avoid watching scary movies, but I always get caught off guard when they start showing them during the commercials! LOL
But anyways...
We had a very busy weekend! On Saturday, Wyatt & I both worked until lunch... I hate working on the weekend, but we are still trying to catch up on Wyatt being unemployed for 3 weeks last month... After that, we went to our Godson, Rosson's, 1st birthday party! His birthday is actually October 6th... I just cannot believe he will be 1 year old on Thursday!! Time just keeps going by faster and faster! Anyways, he got so many great things for his birthday! :) We were so glad to be a part of his special day!
After we left his party, we went to our friend's -Brandi & Stan- house for the Alabama football game. We had a great time, as always :), but we were sooo tired by the time we got home!
On Sunday, we went to church and then ate lunch with our friends, Ashley & Zach, at Stevie B's pizza buffet! I love that place! And, of course, when we were finished, we had to go to the arcade... That is where we spent about $6 and had enough tickets to win 20 Tootsie Rolls!! (Score!) LOL! So, then we went home and Wyatt mowed the yard and washed clothes, and I cleaned the house! And since I was already in "House Cleaning" mode, I finished cleaning out my linen closet, which was doubling as one of my "catch-all" closets. Next on the list will be my back guest bedroom closet, which is the worst "catch-all" in my house!

Whew... What a busy couple of weeks!! Last weekend we went to Nashville for a wedding - but it was also my birthday :) Then, last Tuesday, Wyatt & I went to a Rome Braves game for Wyatt's birthday (fun to go, but they lost...). And this past weekend, we went BACK to Nashville for our annual Company Labor Day trip! We have had a blast everywhere we've gone lately, but now it's back to the real world and back to a regular work week.. but now I feel like I need a week off work to rest! Of course, that's not gonna happen, but it sure would have been nice to sleep in today since it's raining from the tropical storm that came up from the Gulf.
So, it's now September (omg... it's already a WEEK into September..AHH!!) which means I have to start getting busy on some wreaths, and I have to get my candle making "stuff" ordered! I can't wait to order my Christmas candle scents!!
Ok, that's all for now, got to get to work!!

August 15th - Two Years Later

Well, today is mine & Wyatt's 2nd wedding anniversary! As always, I have to also mention that 7 years ago yesterday was our first date :) I have to mention that because I just feel like the number of years we have been married doesn't quite tell the WHOLE story! We have been through a lot together in the last 7 years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Everything we have gone through - good and bad - has taught us more about each other and made our relationship stronger for whatever is thrown at us next :) I love you, Honey!
On a lighter note...
Wyatt bought me a gift certificate to Dinky Doodles for our anniversary, and I am sooo excited about it! I wasn't expecting that at all! And I have a surprise for him also, but I can't say what it is yet because he may read this before I give it to him!! Believe me though, it is something he has been wanting for a long time!!

My First Blog!

So, I have never had a blog, but I decided that I could use this as somewhat of a scrapbook for myself, Wyatt, and our future family :)

Well, I started my own "business," I guess you could call it, this past March. I make candles and "rag" wreaths. I have always loved making candles, just for my own personal use, but I was blessed to have the chance to make and sell my candles in Brandi's mom's boutique store in Rainsville. When I found out about the boutique store, I quickly found something else I enjoy making- "Rag" wreaths!  I started out doing very well in the spring with my candles and wreaths, but this summer has been pretty slow.  No worries, though... I have been preparing for the fall and winter in hopes of getting more business for Christmas!! I bought plenty of christmas fabric in July when it was on sale, I have been making high school and college themed wreaths for football season, and I have picked out my fall/Christmas scents for my candles!  I am hoping that one day my business will expand enough to become my full time job!!  I would love to be able to work for myself doing something that I love to do, instead of what just pays the bills!
I guess that's all for now... Gotta pay those bills!
